AES-256-GCM Encryption

Your Unboarding identity chain is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before it ever touches localStorage. The plaintext never ships. Decryption happens in under 50ms on any modern device. The encryption key is derived from your passphrase using PBKDF2 — 310,000 iterations, SHA-256. No key ever leaves your device.

SHA-256 Identity Chain

Each identity event is a SHA-256 linked block. The chain is tamper evident by construction — any modification to any block invalidates the chain from that point forward. No blockchain required. No gas fees. No consensus delay. Just math.
